A fail-safe formula to spending a brilliant Saturday: gather up a few good friends, book yourselves discounted train tickets to the sea, and prepare yourselves for a mini-adventure that you wouldn’t trade for anything in the world (oh, and don’t forget the polaroid camera - nothing quite compares to it). Thank you Eastbourne for your beautiful cliffs, your fresh air and your quietly rolling waves, thank you for all the memories you have allowed me and my friends to make for a day in our frighteningly short yet well-lived lives.

What is the point in a post like this? To make you drool, of course! When my friends and I headed to Chinatown for a Japanese dinner, I could not help myself: I had to return home with some memorable shoots of the very satisfying food! We ate zaru soba, udon, oyako don and a small but tasty sushi platter.

Here are a few shots of a short trip I took down to Catterline Beach, yet another of Scotland’s small gems. It has been a few typically frisky and rainy days up here in Stonehaven, but I’m still counting my blessings for getting to spend a bit of time in such a lovely area.

Part 2 of my little trip to Holland Park…

The Kyoto Garden had to be my favourite area in Holland Park. It’s a small space but I loved every bit of it, from the bright green grass to the small waterfall. I’ve never been to Japan but this garden seems to gives one a good taste of the country…

It seems summer is far too brief here in London. Making use of a morning without rain, I headed down to Holland Park in Notting Hill. It’s a nice little place, perhaps not “wild” enough to my liking (even the squirrels were being a bit too sociable), but it is green and colourful and definitely worth a visit if you happen to be passing by.
